My final myth buster of the week and one of my favourites.

Myth: I don’t need to adjust what I eat. I just need to exercise harder to lose weight.
Truth: I will say this only once. “You cannot out exercise a bad diet”.
Exercise, of course, is important for many reasons and it can help you to lose weight.
HOWEVER, if you are not getting the right nutrients your exercise performance suffers which means you won’t be able to get the most out of your exercise. Eating a diet consisting of processed food means your body isn’t getting the nutrients it needs to work properly and effectively, absorb nutrients and burn the calories for weight loss. It takes a lot longer to work off the energy in junk food than it does in whole food.
Note: You can be of normal weight and exercise but still be unhealthy because of a poor diet. You can in fact be Skinny Fat.
As Gillian McKeith said, probably 20 years ago now, “you are what you eat”
