After last week and the components of Physical Fitness, I thought I would look briefly at some of the other aspects of total fitness/health this week, as much so I can understand it and remind myself.

Firstly, Spiritual Fitness and Social Fitness.
Spiritual Fitness is not about religion. Spiritual health means a “purposeful life” however you may find that. It involves your values, principles, ethics, beliefs and sense of purpose. It’s also about optimism, forgiveness and compassion.
Examples of ways to achieve spiritual health can be:
1. Explore your spiritual core. ... 2. Look for deeper meanings. ... 3. Get it out. ... 4. Try yoga. ... 5. Travel. ... 6. Think positively. .. 7. Practice Gratitude
8. Volunteering/social contributions
Social Fitness applies to interpersonal relationships and how you interact with people, being able to develop and maintain friendships. It involves mutual respect, support and effective communication. It’s about being non-judgemental, non-critical and blame-free.
Being sociable is good for our mental health and well being too. Knowing you are supported and supporting, having someone to talk to. I’m sure, during the last year or so, we’ve all experienced what it’s like when we cannot have real-life contact with our family and friend and how it has affected us.
Certainly something to think about this week. What is something you are grateful for today?
